Lake Titicaca
Lake Titicaca in Peru- Bolivia border is believed to be the birthplace of the sun in Andean cultures. It is full of history of various civilizations.
The lake has over 40 islands all well inhabited with archeological findings of underwater temples belonging to cultures predating the Inca empire.

The location of Titicaca in the Andes mountains with its rainforests makes it prime habitat for rare endangered species.
