Accordion (a musical instrument)
The name accordion originates from German, meaning, "musical chord." It's box shaped and comprises of the; 1. Bellows (father 😉), 2. The Reeds (mother 😘), 3. The piano (children 🤩).
Accordion is an aerophone instrument i.e produces sound using air. It's the official city instrument of San Francisco 😎. It has relations like the concertina and harmonium.
It has keys like a piano and bellows (metal like leaf 😜) to be compressed after which air flows through the Reeds. Bellows are similar to a violin's bow and despite it's keys, bellows (Fathers 🙄) are the sound producers through the reeds (☹️, mothers) .
Accordion's use is concentrated in Europe and the Americas. It was popular before but not sure about now 😶.
The accordion is a complex instrument with various types, from piano accordion to Swiss organ. It's used in various music genres.
So don't be surprised, If you travel to California and in a music Hall you see an accordion leading a melodious orchestra instead of a piano 😅.
Thanks for this
