Kruger national park

So, they had to try contraceptive for elephants in Kruger games reserve when the more than 19,000 square kilometers of land couldn’t support their population boon 😂.

Welcome again 🥰

With Zimbabwe and Mozambique as its North and Eastern borders respectively, Kruger National park in South Africa is the largest games reserve in the country.

All the big five games - male lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant and hippopotamus reside in Kruger.

Along with the countless species from Lepidoptera (butterfly) to migrating birds, varying vegetation, the African wild dog... the unique circle of life in the park is easily witnessed. Docile to daunting.

The name Kruger comes from Paul Kruger, then president of South Africa in 1898 when the park was established.

Poachers, climate change, urban settlements at the borders, mining activity are the various challenges that the reserve wield its strength against.

There are camping sites, resorts, a commercial airstrip and restaurants located in certain areas of the park. There are 9 trails in the reserve.

But, don’t go to the wilderness area...

Kruger National park was joined with bordering parks in Zimbabwe and Mozambique to form the Great Limpopo transfrontier park.
