Strait of Gibratar 💪
The Strait of Gibraltar is the natural narrow water passage linking the Atlantic ocean and Mediterranean sea.
It separates Europe from North Africa. The Strait is found between Gibraltar (a small British territory in Spain) and Ceuta (in Morocco but controlled by Spain.)
The narrowest point between the north and south side across the Strait is 13km of ocean water.
The Strait has different names it has been called during different periods and by the civilizations living around it. The name STROG (STRait of Gibraltar) is used by the navy. "The pillars of Hercules" is it's archaic name.
Because of the location of the Strait, it is used for illegal migration by humans (you can already guess from where to where) while bird species migrate freely between the Ocean and Mediterranean 😂.
Throughout history, Strait of Gibraltar served well in the exchange of cultures between Civilizations. It was very much used for wars.
The waters of the Mediterranean are more saline (salty) and mix with the less saline Ocean water in their own special outflow and inflow pattern.
I'll become a bird too.. Lol
