The arch is not only a modern marvel, it tells history of enslaved African-Americans seeking freedom, women fighting for vote rights. Above all, the discovery of new lands beyond the Mississippi.

Gateway arch has a museum that balances the positive and negative side of history. It has a tram ride to the top, spreading a stunning view. Riverboats cruising the Mississippi are cream on the chocolate.
