Myrtle


Myrtle has various species in different locations but its natural habitat surrounds the Mediterranean.


As flowering plants, Myrtle are evergreen year round and produce colorful flowers. They reside along water bodies and come in various shapes, sizes and heights.

Though Myrtle is edible, it’s not consumed by humans. But its healing properties are well known and cut across antibacterial diseases.

Myrtles produce delightful fragrance. They’re known in Greek mythology as Venus’ covering while visiting an island.

In symbolism, Myrtle represent good luck, fertility, prosperity. It’s used in religious rituals because of the white flower it produce signifying purity. Now, it’s given as present to couples to signify a beautiful and long lasting union.
