Hall of mirrors 😁😍

Hall of mirrors is a brilliant representation of the power wielded by the monarch Louis XIV of France centuries ago. This communication has transcended generations.

The hall is an elegant gallery built in baroque style. It's one of the most enticing rooms in the royal palace of Versailles, France. The gallery's orientation presents it's complete view.

It was constructed in the mid 17th century as a small building but later on transformed into a gallery inside a palatial structure and became the seat of culture, arts and entertainment in Europe. Hall of mirrors is the venue of historic events one of which is the signing of peace to end world war 1.

The neighbouring rooms: Salon of war in the north and Salon of peace to the South. The hall connects both Salons, serving as a passageway.

The gallery is 73m long, 10.50m deep, 12.30m high. Decorated with large mirrors opposite it's 17 windows. The mirrors produce a mirror image of the garden outside the castle into the building's interior. It also reflected the candlelight in the evenings. These mirrors were highly expensive when they were purchased and they speak more of the king's wealth.

The paintings on its ceilings depicts kings, conquest, peace... it's bronze sculptures are delectable consisting of busts of Roman emperors, ancient dieties...

The gallery is so majestic the king entered it at least once a day and his bedroom lay behind the gallery's wall.

In its prime, the hall served weddings, court and family functions and till date, it still serves official ceremonies in France.
