Lolani palace, Honolulu

 

Lolani palace in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA, was the royal  residence for the 19th century monarchs of Hawaii island.


Built by the last King to replace the previous structure, it was modeled after the grand palaces of Europe mixed with elements of Hawaiian culture.

Throne room, blue room, state dining hall, private suites…all these in Lolani palace continued to serve as official residence for interim governments after the overthrow of the monarchy.


Tour guides are present to help visitors experience Lolani palace. Objects not viewed by the world can be seen in privacy. Fashion garments of the royal families are preserved and well displayed.

With beautiful gardens, coronation pavilion, royal tombs of previous royalties decorating the grounds, Lolani palace serves as an historical image of Hawaii, its importance as an independent state.
