Atacama desert

It acts nothing like a desert.

A desert on norms presents the image of barrenness, but no, Atacama desert brings out beauty in the ugly.

Atacama desert is located in Northern Chile, close to the Pacific Ocean, in between mountain ranges but dry due to an interplay of geographical factors.

Atacama’ red sand in dry surfaces blends with the majesty of Licacanbur - a volcano. It strides with Death Valley, minerals in colors give birth to Rainbow Valley and the heat breeze that reminds you of where you are!

Similarity to Mars and personal poise of Atacama desert makes it a site for an international astronomy facility.

Although dry, Atacama desert has been a habitation to humans for ages. From the imprints of Tulor- the oldest Chilean archaeological site - to Inca rule and then Spanish conquistadors, the desert remains home to humans.
