Iguazú falls
Naipi was a beautiful woman. So beautiful a deity planned to marry her. But she had a human lover...and fled with him in a canoe. Out of anger the deity sliced the River on which the canoe was into two giving rise to the Iguazú falls.
That is according to legend 😂
From literal translation, Iguazú means “Big water.”
Sunset over the falls.
Iguazú falls is formed by the Iguazú River on the border between Brazil and Argentina. They are the largest waterfall system in the world and can also be viewed from Paraguay.
Majority of the River flows in from Brazil and falls are mainly in Argentina. Numerous islands split the waterfall but may be covered when water level rises.
P.S: the two lovers died from the River splicing 😅
This is interesting.
