Aye-aye π
Aye-aye are marsupials, lemurs related to chimpanzees and other primates. They are intelligent, arboreal and not very fine in appearance.
A very rare specie of animal, they live only in Madagascar and their discovery by a French man brought about their funny name. He saw them and exclaimed βaye ayeβ as an exclamation of astonishment of seeing this rare species for the first time.
This specie of lemurs are nocturnal and omnivores. They have long sharp nails which is used to create holes in tree trunks wherever they discover preys like insects through echolocation.
Echolocation is a process whereby a predator detects itβs prey through sound waves. Only Aye-aye as a primate does this. Theyβre an endangered species being conserved from killings by locals who believe them to be an evil omen.
Aye Aye indeed!!
