The Grand Canyon

 

En route to the Gulf of California, the Colorado River mapped out a deep course in the dry land plateau of Arizona, USA forming the Grand Canyon.


Aside it’s natural reddish stones with their glow and the course of the River forming a path in the widened space, the Grand Canyon has been a site of human settlement dated million years back. 

There are many points in the Canyon, all on either the South and Northern Rims. Rafting, hiking, helicopter tours, sightseeing and more sports are allowed in the canyon because its a large expanse of land.

The ecosystem has varied plants and animals. Hunting is restricted. The weather at each place is determined by its height, higher places receive more rain and snow than those lower to the rims.

Snow

The Grand Canyon has many historic buildings along with lists of explorers who tried to understand the intricacies of nature. Today, it’s a national park and monument.

Conquistadors.

It’s not the deepest canyon in the world but Grand Canyon is one of the most beautiful and well visited.


The Canyon is 477 miles long.
