Galah
Galah is a bird which lives naturally in Australia.
In captivity, Galah can live up to 80years but in the wild they live for less number of years because of predators and other factors.
Galah belong to the cockatoo family of Aves. Their colors are pink and grey - a mix of pink on their feathers and grey legs.
They are bold against confrontation and loud.
Both male and female adults share parental responsibility of incubation of eggs for about 25 days. Galah is a social animal and you can find up to 10,000 individuals together in open grass fields.
In science, Galah can be easily crossed with close relatives to give hybrids.
“Galah” as a slang in Australia means fool or a clown. It can also be used to refer to a flashy dress because of their pink color.
