Emu (a bird)

The Emu is the second largest living bird by height triumphed by ostriches. The unofficial national bird of Australia. They're dispersed inland and coast lands of the country.
They're like camels in drinking water and travelling distances, anyway they're distant relatives of the ostrich. They have three toes while ostrich has two.
Emu's have vestigial wings which makes them flightless birds. Their eyesight and  hearing organs are very sensitive while their toes can be used to inflict pain on their attackers.
They don't look nice 😶
The fathers take care of the eggs laid until it hatches and matures to take care of itself, they are defensive of their young ones but the mothers wander away to get another mate 😴.
Their feathers provide a very good balance of heat regulation which makes them active in high temperature. Their eyes are protected by a different form of eyelid.
They move in flocks and pairs. Emus movement patterns are determined generally by food abundance. They're diurnal birds and feed on plants and small animals. They're a dispersal agent of plant seeds and they swallow stones to help grinding in their gizzards.
Emus are very careful of their nest location and wary of predators like Dingoes and Eagles. Emus are farmed for their meat, oil/fat and leather. Species which are subject to extinction are being conserved.
Emu.
