Farin Ruwa Falls

Discovered in the 1950's , Farin Ruwa falls is one highest water falls in the continent.

In Hausa, Farin Ruwa means "white water." It is found in Farin Ruwa development area of Wamba local government, Nasarawa state.

It seats on the boundary between Nasarawa and Plateau state. The source of the water falls is the Jos Plateau and it descends from the mountains at a height of 150metres. Because of this height, the water gradually turns white as it descends.

During rainy season, heavy rainfalls increase the volume of water which decrease in dry season - December to March.

The full potential of the falls for tourism has not been employed. It's not being projected for the world to see, but we'll be optimistic that said plans to do so will be fast and fruitful.
